Has anyone ordered a subscription to the new Archie 75th Anniversary Digests. Below is the info from the email I received promoting a special $29.99 price for 12 issues.

-Did you know Archie is launching the Archie 75th Anniversary Digest in September?

-There will only be 12 issues and each one is 224 pages. The cover price is $6.99 U.S. and $8.99 Canada. If you bought each digest individually it would cost you $83.88 in the U.S. and $107.88 in Canada.

-Because you are a loyal Archie email subscriber, for a limited time, you get this exclusive offer for ALL 12 issues for as little as $29.99!!

I just started Archie Unlimited for $7.99 a month. Does anyone know if its been lower in the past? I am traditional paper digests but I have actually enjoyed the amount of comics I can read for the price point and I am loving it so far. Its easy to choose from so many great series and there's more content than I expected. I am not sure but if this continues I may enjoy the digital experience far more than I had hoped. I don't have to dig out any old comics or books and the brightness of my iPad and colors pop through seeing it all there. Any others enjoy the value you get with a subscription. I honestly feel I can get through far more content seeing as how convenient it all is and more content keeps getting added.

Of course it does not include the current six months of Archie print comics but then that is why I have the subscriptions coming in the mail. To be able to go through such a backlog of many series, digests, digital exclusives is awesome!

I hate to admit it but I am loving the brighter color and look of the digital comics versus paper where the colors appear darker and more subdued due to the paper quality at least in comparison to the digests. I still love my paper Archie Comics but I like reading Archie in a different way now. I still need more time to decide just how much I really enjoy this new way in comparison to how I was just basically only reading the print comics and refused to try the digital comics but when the price, content and convenience is right then I just had to give this a try.

-A very memorable Comics Double Digest to collect and treasure as it contains the very last new story drawn by the great Archie artist Fernando Ruiz!

Archie in Happiness is a clean Pup-The last new story drawn by Fernando Ruiz to appear in a Digest-June 2016
-The first page of a six page new story
-This is the very last story he drew for Archie Comics and appears in Archie Comics Double Digest #269
-Look at all the details and artistic talent as always demonstrated by the one and only Fernando Ruiz!
-A true Archie artist master in every sense and a legacy that will never be forgotten!
-On this very page you can see the extra details that Fernando draws in his art, such as the fish coming out of the tub of soap and water. I always try to find these little gems in each of the stories that he has drawn!

Archie Vs Predator-The last mini series drawn by Fernando Ruiz for Archie Comics in 2015!
-This is the collected Hardcover edition of the four issue mini series, Archie Vs Predator and is the last major mini series that Fernando Ruiz drew in collaboration with Dark horse for Archie Comics in 2015.

Fernando Ruiz and the last story he drew for Archie Comics
Just received Archie Comics Digest#269 and I read the very last new story drawn by the very talented Fernando Ruiz. The story is called, "Happiness is a clean Pup" Its very funny and very well drawn. I admire and appreciate all the extra little details Fernando always puts in his art, such as in this story: a fish coming out of a tub of  water, a monster in the sewers, a bird on someone's head. If this is his last story for Archie then Fernando ends his Archie career with a very memorable story that is a true Archie classic. I laughed very much throughout reading the story and its one I will never forget. Its a very interesting and well drawn story that involves Archie starting a dog washing business with Jughead. It is very funny, memorable and definitely classic Archie as he gets in one mess after another. The ending definitely will have you laughing out loud as to what happens from this new business venture of Archie and Jughead. Will it succeed or not? Read it and find out. 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Its unfortunate to see this is his last drawn story for Archie but just like Stan Goldberg, Harry Lucey, Rex Lindsey and Dan Parent, Fernando is one of the very few great Archie artists that embodies the best of Archie comics. This thread is a tribute to your many years of exemplary stories with Archie, the masterful Archie vs Predator and so many other great Archie stories. Your work will be remembered in graphic novels and digests for many years to come! Thanks for everything Fernando Ruiz! Fernando Ruiz is definitely one of the great master Archie artists and his legacy will never be forgotten!
