  • DeCarlo Rules: So let me see if I've got this right... The confusingly-titled Archie: The Married Life 10th Anniversary is NOT a sequel to any part of the 37-issue run of "The Married Life" in Life With Archie Magazine. But it IS a sequel (10 years on ) to ARCHIE #600 to 606, "Archie Marries".

  • DeCarlo Rules: Ironically Dan Parent was not really involved with the LIFE WITH ARCHIE series at all although he did do ARCHIE #606, the epilogue to "Archie Marries". It's a little confusing now, since this new series is yet another parallel universe where Archie Andrews didn't die... or maybe two of them.

  • DeCarlo Rules: After Archie Meets Batman '66, I was wondering whether that was it for long-form classic Archie stories. So it's nice to see The Married Life again, even if it's only a 6-issue epilogue.

EXCLUSIVE: 'Riverdale' Season 2 First Look: Angry Archie Crazy Cheryl & the 'Angel of Death'!

http://tvline.com/2017/05/12/riverdale-season-2-casey-cott-series-regular-kevin/

Get ready to see more of Kevin roaming the halls of Riverdale High next season.

Casey Cott has been promoted to series regular for Season 2 of The CW's Riverdale, TVLine has learned exclusively. Cott plays Betty's gay BFF Kevin Keller, who loves to add his snarky thoughts to the conversation. The son of Riverdale's town sheriff, Kevin also had a star-crossed romance this season with Joaquin, a member of the Southside Serpents biker gang.

Riverdale, a teen-soap reimagining of the classic Archie comics, scored a Season 2 renewal back in March. Cott joins KJ Apa (Archie), Lili Reinhart (Betty), Cole Sprouse (Jughead), Camila Mendes (Veronica), Madelaine Petsch (Cheryl) and Ashleigh Murray (Josie) as series regulars among the show's teen cast.

Mark Consuelos (Pitch) will be joining Riverdale's cast in Season 2 as Veronica's father Hiram Lodge. And another new face will be coming to Riverdale High, too: The role of Reggie, played by Ross Butler in Season 1, will be recast.

Archie, you have a new archrival.
The CW's Riverdale has cast Charles Melton to play the role of Reggie, TVLine has learned exclusively. Melton, who will recur in Season 2, has previous TV credits on FX's American Horror Story: Hotel (as the womanizing Mr. Wu) and Fox's Glee.

Melton takes over for Ross Butler, who played Reggie in Season 1. Reggie -- a loudmouth bully who's constantly in competition with Archie -- is a core character in the original comics, but he was rarely seen on Riverdale due to Butler's busy schedule. Butler is a series regular on Netflix's teen drama 13 Reasons Why, and with that show getting a Season 2 renewal, Riverdale was forced to search for a new Reggie.

"We love what Ross did with the role of Reggie [this season], but because of his commitments to other projects, we couldn't use him nearly as much as we would have liked," creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told TVLine last month when the recasting was first announced.

Veronica's dad might be getting out of jail sooner than we thought on Riverdale.
Mark Consuelos has signed on to play the heretofore-unseen Hiram Lodge on The CW's Archie reboot, TVLine has learned exclusively. He'll make his debut in Season 2, and is set to join the cast as a series regular.

Hiram Lodge, per the show's official description, is "a ruthless, handsome, charismatic businessman who is coming back to Riverdale after weathering a financial scandal that almost destroyed him. He is there to reconnect with his wife Hermione and, especially, his daughter Veronica, who is the apple of his eye." We haven't seen Hiram on the show yet, since he's been in jail awaiting trial for his involvement in a Bernie Madoff-esque embezzlement scheme. But it sounds like he beats the rap and comes home to make Veronica's life even more complicated.

There is a catch, though: Consuelos currently co-stars on Fox's baseball drama Pitch as general manager Oscar Arguella, and his Riverdale casting is in second position to Pitch, so he'd have to drop the Riverdale role if Pitch is renewed for a second season. (Pitch is currently listed as "could go either way" on TVLine's Renewal Scorecard.) He also recently signed on for a major recurring role on the upcoming fourth season of NBC's The Night Shift, and he's co-president of Milojo Productions, which has the Logo reality show Fire Island debuting this month.

I wonder who can it be ???

From the article

"Each week, Riverdale gets more and more mysterious. As we've slowly moved toward untangling the murder of Jason Blossom, there have been plenty of other confusing plot twists along the way -- not to mention the fact that there's going to be another death on the series in the near future. All of that alone is enough to make Riverdale serious appointment television, but the cast is prepared to get viewers even more psyched about this week's episode."
