Here's a panel gem I found from a story I'll upload soon in my album gallery. This one is in my second album. If you thought Cheryl threatening to kiss Ronica was funny, how about this one?  :2funny:

It looks like a Dick Malgrem classic one. VERY underrated Archie artist and writer, IMO....

I guess it's a matter of preference. DeCarlo played loose, too, given his past work before Archie. And Cheryl Blossom really pushed that boundary, lest we forget....

My all-time favorite Ruiz cover:

I love the little nuances like the girls simply taking in the sun at the beach, with the subtle light and shadows on them. The two beauties radiate sexuality, in fact, it could easily rival a DeCarlo cover in this regard (no offense DR). Ronica differentiates from Betty as she listens to her music while Betty simply lies there, possibly listening to the sea and feeling the breeze. Both girls are content. Nothing needs to be said. Excellent work...

I couldn't resist it! Just a little bit more (for now)! Added some stuff for both albums. Enjoy!  :D

Don't care for Dan Parent. Too pedestrian/generic for me.

More a fan of Goldberg, Ruiz, DeCarlo, Crane, Legace, Hartley, Montana.

Thanks, Mr. Lodge.

I happen to like what Dan is doing here, but I do wish the company would have the guts to let him just go full CLASSIC!
Thank you for responding. have you heard from Mr. Parent that this extra book will cut into his Die Kitty Die work?

So, if I understand this right, this new series is a "bridge" between the Classic Archie and the Newer Archie? Interesting approach. One thing that I think will challenge Mr. Parent is if he can keep both drawing styles separate without both blurring together. I'm trying to remember if this has ever happened in any comic company by any artist. I just wished they could do the same thing with the other Classic Archie artists, like Mr. Ruiz, Mr. Shultz, Ms. Legace, and Mr. Kennedy....

I laid it on really thick today in my second album. Got some pretty good stories (to me). Some include Moose, with one that will stand out, a Goldberg Action Archie one. Hint: Watch how the cop reacts. That's all I'm going to say about that.  :2funny:  Plus Reggie kisses Moose in another story!  :2funny:  Also Betty, Josie, and Jughead stories! Enjoy!

And leave us not to forget the stories, which works on the same principle....

I would say it was about the best Little Archie comic I ever read. It's more of a thing like where I'm just into all those Franco & Baltazar comics: Itty Bitty Hellboy, Tiny Titans, Super Powers, Super Pets, Aw Yeah!, Action Cat, whatever.
Better than Bolling's Little Archie? Those are considered to be classics...

What can I say. LA just never really appealed to me. For whatever reason, I just like Franco & Baltazar. You know who they are, right SAGG? You must have seen or read their stuff, right? So to me, it's not Little Archie that has anything to do with me reading it, it's all Franco & Baltazar.
Oh, THOSE guys:

Well, I've never really gotten into their stuff, but I'll take a gander...  :D

Got a nice stash uploaded today in my second album! Goldberg-drawn Action Archie and Chuck goodies that include a Riverdale blizzard and earthquake (though both not in the same story, and the earthquake isn't even the main plot--go figure), Melody encourages a boy stalker, a Jughead story, and more! Enjoy!  ;D

I'm feelin' it tonight, baby! Just saw the season premiere of Rick and Morty (a great April Fools joke by Adult Swim), and it put me in a good mood for more stuff, this in my second album! Enjoy!  8)

Does anyone have it?
I remember reading this as a kid!!!

I read that story a few weeks ago. Name of the story is Sacrifice Play (Archie's Girls Betty and Veronica 214)
It's not Frankie Valdez, it's some other guy Betty was going out with.
Sooo, Ronica was making a play for a guy Betty was going with? Will wonders never cease?  :2funny:

First of all, thank you for lifting this story from my album, stylishnotebook:)

One thing I think we're missing here is why the nurses would say what they said about Ronica's actions with making a portion of the dolls in the first place. Obviously there was a reason, which is because to them Ronica (and her family) were being perceived as being too cheap to give money to their hospital, even though Ronica thought about about having Mr. Lodge give something to it. The theme here in this story I believe, is misconception. Betty knows her buddy better than anyone, even apparently, Archie, which is why DR, he didn't come to Ronica's defense. Everyone but Betty thinks Ronica is quite frankly, selfish and snobby, even though they still generally like her. Her (and her family's) reputation is they're "better than us" because of their wealth. Witness the opening scene, where Ronica only seems concerned about her needs, with all of those packages she and her servent are carrying. Then, Ronica mildly complaining about the color of her new sportscar. How could any of you not think of her caring only about herself? The reputation of the Lodges is well known throughout Riverdale like this, rightly or wrongly.

The heartbreaking closing scene is quite telling, of course. I've never felt more sorry for Ronica. However, there's obviously hope because Ronica let it affect her. Being the type of person she is, she'll try to do better as a person, and with Betty's help, she'll make it stick to doing more for those less fortunate than her. Witness another story in my album, "A Wise Shopper", where Ronica secretly purchases a dress a little girl wanted. I'd like to imagine that this story takes place after "Poor Little Rich Girl", where she's trying. Meh...
