Yes, I like Harley Quinn as well, which is why I'm trying to understand why they're making her a killer in the Heroes in Crisis series. Harley's at the least an antihero, basically reformed. It doesn't make any sense... 🤔

Disagree. Conspiracy to murder (or mass murder) at the very least, by virtue of her past associations with Joker and Poison Ivy. She's a habitual offender with multiple counts of felonious assault -- and I don't buy that Harley (unlike Batman) knows where the fine line between general egregious bodily mayhem and "attempted murder" (or at the very least "intent to maim/cause grave bodily injury") lies. "Antihero" encompasses guys like Deadshot and Deathstroke too, both definite unremittant killers (the Suicide Squad employs a lot of killers). For that matter, I wouldn't exactly call Amanda Waller a hero, either.

You can argue that some animated versions of Harley are slightly kinder, gentler versions... but that would usually be specific to a particular episode or film.

But nobody even blinked when they decided BOOSTER GOLD was a killer. Yeah, that's totally in character.

Good examples of why I have little use for most modern DCU comics these days.
I'm not taking issue with what you're posting exactly, but in her book Harley's portrayed as WAY more benign than she is here. I think there's something else sinister going on here. Super villain mind control, perhaps? 🤔

Crowded. Anybody read this comic? It involves a woman being targeted for assassination by a lottery type of method. Whoever kills her gets a LOT of money. Thing is, it's legal. 😳 She's being protected by a hired bodyguard, who is ranked low. The money continues to increase, by the way. Several people have already tried to do the deed, but have fail. This is a pretty good book so far...

...Man, that is one dark, scary, and VERY good Netflix series! 😳

I agree. I don't even like horror but I'm digging this series.  I stopped watching Riverdale this season.  Two seasons was enough for me. We'll see if Sabrina can keep up the momentum since it's been renewed for seasons 2, 3, and 4.
Really? 😳 I know season two is coming on April 5th, but I didn't hear about any other seasons. Where did you get the information?

From Archie himself!  http://archiecomics.com/netflixs-chilling-adventures-of-sabrina-renewed/
Okay, thanks....

The irony is not lost on me that Sears was at one time, over a century ago, most favorably positioned as THE alternative to brick & mortar retail stores.

The Sears Roebuck & Co. Catalog was indeed the "Amazon.com" of its time, from 1897 to 1993.
And that's where they really started to screw up, getting rid of the catalog. If only they could have taken advantage of the Internet, Sears would still be in business....

FINALLY! Sears has declared bankruptcy! It's dead! A(nother) retailing icon is gone! The suffering is over!

You don't have to sound so happy about it. I'm sure plenty of people were relying on that employer for their main income, so their suffering has only begun.

It just makes me wonder what happens after the dust completely settles and there's only ONE major brick & mortar retailer left (Walmart, from the looks of it at this point). I'm not particularly looking forward to being around when that happens.
No, I certainly wasn't happy. Just relieved that the suffering has stopped. I'm sorry, but Sears had been losing money for years. It was time to put them out of their misery. I worked at another iconic retailer that went out of business, Toys R Us, though I've been away from it for over 20 years. I take no pleasure in seeing people lose their jobs, but they had to have known it was only a matter of time before the axe would fall, and can adjust accordingly to finding other jobs, even some in other retailers. Now, I'm assuming K-Mart should be right behind....

Sometimes I wish Marvel Comics would go out of business. I've heard rumors that Disney doesn't think it's worth the trouble to publish new comics, and would rather just license the characters to someone else that's interested. They may well have a point there.
Heh...let Time-Warner have them. High time for a combined DC/Marvel universe!!  :2funny:

...Anyone watch this? I do. The newest episodes are on YouTube. It's best described to me as a cross between Sailor Moon, Archie, and Spider Man...

I've been watching it since the first volume of Season 1 came out on DVD, but there was a huge gap between seasons 1 & 2, and when I went back to YouTube a few months ago, it was hard to find the English dubs of the second season episodes, so I only saw a couple of them. It's probably better covered now that I got too busy to keep up with it and lost track of the new episodes. I keep hoping that they'll just put Season 2 episodes out on DVD (NickTV covered the first season broadcasts, and Shout! Factory the DVDs). So far I haven't heard anything about broadcast rights or DVD rights in the North American market.

Marinette is something else. There's a definite Spider-Man influence, along with that of Japanese tokusatsu/henshin hero/magical girl shows, and a few other things as well, as the creators were aiming for something accessible to a global market.
YouTube has them all, and in the case they somehow are blocked, Watch Cartoons Online has them. There are only two left for the season, and they're supposed to be even better than the "Queen's Battle" trilogy, "Catalyst", and "Mayura". It really frustrated me that they screwed with the release dates throughout this year...

After a long period, I added something to my album, the original one, that is.  :) It's a throwback ad about winning a sweepstakes with the original Nintendo Entertainment System! Ah, the memories...  :smitten:

By the way, I got both the mini classics for both the NES and the SNES....
